Addition of accomplished Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief People Officer caps record 2023
CAST AI, the leading Kubernetes cost optimization platform, today announced that it has added three new executives to its leadership team who have scaled hypergrowth companies. Amanda MacLeod was appointed Chief Marketing Officer, Arturo Marin was appointed Chief Revenue Officer, and Gabija Marganavice was appointed Chief People Officer.
“2023 was a record year for CAST AI. We doubled the size of our team to satisfy growing demand for our platform; raised $55 million in two funding rounds from Vintage Investment Partners, Creandum, Uncorrelated Ventures, and other prominent investors; and were recognized by Gartner® in its 2023 Cool Vendors™ in Cloud That Drive Business Disruption report,” said CAST AI CEO Yuri Frayman. “I am proud of what we achieved last year, but I am even more excited about the opportunity that lies ahead of us in 2024. Amanda, Arturo, and Gabija’s collective experience scaling hypergrowth companies will take us to the next level and help us realize our mission to deliver a fully automated Kubernetes experience.”
In her role as Chief Marketing Officer, MacLeod will guide the global marketing strategy, oversee the team through the next stages of hypergrowth, and lead the go-to-market function in close partnership with Marin. MacLeod comes with a rich experience in cloud infrastructure and operations, helping scale HashiCorp’s marketing team in direct partnership with the revenue team from pre-revenue through post-IPO (NASDAQ: HCP). Amanda joins CAST AI from Jeli.io, where she built the entire marketing and sales go-to-market motion from the ground up prior to its acquisition by PagerDuty (NYSE: PD).
“I am thrilled to work in close partnership with our seasoned founders to build upon their rapid achievement of product market fit,” said MacLeod. “Increasingly complex infrastructure and emerging AI models are causing skyrocketing cloud costs. CAST AI is uniquely positioned to enable the next stage of automation and innovation the industry needs.”
In his role as Chief Revenue Officer, Arturo Marin will oversee and evolve the strategies for global sales and revenue growth, with an emphasis on recruiting top talent, retaining high performers, and maximizing revenue opportunities. Specializing in Cloud, SaaS, and Networking Sales, his career spans more than two decades across various high-impact roles at market leaders such as Cisco Meraki, AppDynamics, IBM, and SAP.
“It’s an honor to be part of a team that has achieved such remarkable milestones in redefining the cloud industry,” said Marin. “Groundbreaking innovation and exceptional customer service are the foundations upon which we’ll build an even brighter future.”
In her role as Chief People Officer, Gabija Marganavice will oversee and evolve our HR practices, ensuring they are aligned with our scaling objectives and core values, giving particular attention to fostering and nurturing a vibrant organizational culture, adeptly attracting, developing, and retaining top-tier talent. Prior to joining CAST AI, Gabija led the People team at Hostinger, where she helped grow the company from 30 to 1,000 employees in 39 countries across the globe.
“I’m excited to join such a dynamic and innovative company,” said Marganavice. “I believe in creating more than just a workplace, but fostering a community of passionate individuals – a place where people are proud, engaged, and driven by purpose.”
