Software powers the world. We founded Cast AI five years ago to maximize software effectiveness—enabling applications to run faster and more cost-effectively, with less risk, fewer errors, and increased uptime.
Today, I am excited to share that we have reached another key milestone in our journey: we closed an oversubscribed $108 million Series C round led by G2 Venture Partners and SoftBank Vision Fund 2, with participation from Aglaé Ventures—the venture investment company of Bernard Arnault, the chairman and CEO of LVMH—joining alongside existing partners Hedosophia, Cota Capital, Vintage Investment Partners, Creandum, and Uncorrelated Ventures.
Application Performance Automation
Cast AI began by redefining Kubernetes automation. Last year, we rapidly expanded our platform, applying our expertise in automation to address multiple inefficiencies in Kubernetes and public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructure. For example, we enabled instant deployment of hyper-efficient GPU instances in Kubernetes clusters. As we expanded our platform’s capabilities, we became the go-to platform for running AI workloads efficiently, transformed the entire cloud operations landscape, and ushered in an entirely new category—Application Performance Automation (APA). Click here for more insight into APA.
Companies are no longer satisfied with static dashboards and manual tuning knobs. They want automation that works out of the box, improves performance continuously, and gets smarter over time. APA is the answer—it goes beyond observability by turning performance signals into real-time, automated actions that optimize cost, security, and speed across any cloud.
Due to our relentless pace of innovation and our creation of APA, we have experienced significant growth across all geographies, industries, and segments and doubled our customer count between 2023 and 2024. Today, Cast is trusted by over 2,000 companies, including Akamai, BMW, FICO, HuggingFace, NielsenIQ, and Swisscom. We also expanded our global footprint by opening our India and Singapore offices and were named an IDC Innovator and G2 Cloud Cost Management leader.
What’s next?
While last year was another record year for Cast, we are far from achieving our ambitious mission of creating fully autonomous cloud operations. In fact, according to our recently published 2025 Kubernetes Cost Benchmark Report, merely 10% of CPUs and 23% of memory are utilized. Overprovisioning and cloud waste remain high as many DevOps engineering teams continue to manage cloud operations manually. We are committed to making APA ubiquitous in DevSecOps.
We are leveraging our Series C funding to continue pioneering APA, push the boundaries of what is possible in cloud automation, expand our global footprint, and deliver even greater value for our customers.
Stay tuned for several exciting product announcements. This year’s roadmap is our most ambitious one yet, and we’ll unveil numerous new solutions, features, and enhancements.
Thank you to our customers, employees, partners, and investors! We wouldn’t be where we are today without you, and we are more excited than ever about what lies ahead.
